Pro Circuit Challenger

Dear Community Member,

Please join us in supporting the 2017 Ascension Project USTA Pro Circuit Challenger, September 10th-17th, hosted by Sun Oaks Tennis and Fitness in Redding, CA.

This event benefits The Ascension Project, a non-profit organization improving our community and our world by developing athletes into leaders. We do this in a process-first environment that cultivates the values of goal setting, accountability, gratitude and commitment in the context of work ethic and trust in toil. This process is embodied in our motto ”Strength Through Struggle”. By teaching individuals to thrive in a team culture we prepare young men and women to succeed in any endeavor they undertake from college, to the professional world, and beyond.

Many of our regional players wouldn’t be able to participate or benefit from tennis opportunities outside of our immediate area without the support provided by this community, The Ascension Project, and its partnership with Sun Oaks in hosting this tournament.

The Challenger Tournament also provides:

  • School assemblies featuring professional tennis players visiting our local schools
  • Road to College workshops for student athletes
  • Practice and programming support for the Shasta County Special Olympics tennis team
  • Exhibition matches highlighting wheelchair athletes from the North State

We invite you to support these organizations and their mission through your financial donation or sponsorship. Your participation will help us improve our community and develop better people through the game of tennis!

Thank you for your consideration.
