On behalf of Sun Oaks and The Ascension Project, we would like to submit this letter requesting a tax-deductible donation in support of our annual Ascension Project Women’s Open $25,000 Professional Tournament, a USTA Pro Circuit Event. Over the past 30 years Sun Oaks has hosted professional tennis events right here in Redding. Many Grand Slam players have competed in front of our community and it’s been very exciting to see them on the world stage after watching them compete on our own courts. The rarity in having world class Grand Slam competitors play for our crowds cannot be overstated! Proceeds from this exciting tournament go towards The Ascension Project, a non-profit organization based out of Sun Oaks that develops junior tennis players in their leadership and character development, physical fitness, and tennis skills. The program believes that by developing the person the player will follow. In the past 10 years The Ascension Project has helped our local youth achieve over $2 million in scholarships, while sending out good people, leaders and athletes to represent our community around the country.
This year’s Women’s Pro Tournament will be held October 3rd – 9th and is open to the public. Throughout the week of the event, over 1,500 people come to watch the tennis matches and attend other activities at our facility. This year we expect to grow our event in popularity and attendance. Your donation will help us host this event, which includes over 60 professional tennis players from around the world. Your contribution will include your business name in our marketing materials, as well as other amenities in the attached Sponsor Levels listing.
